Mind Your Design is a creative studio specializing in photography,
design and identity. We are proudly based in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

Sea shell swirls, sun kissed skin, bright green grass, carribean sea
hues, white crown moulding, silvery green hosta leaves, crisp shades of
white, clear starry nights, stone drive ways, smiling eyes, soft
shimmer, white sand on pale pink toenails, bright lemons and limes,
wooden boats docks, smooth river rocks, chipping pastel paint, clean
lines, shades of salmon colored coral, curled fern leaves, sea stars in
windows, speckled robin's eggs, first day of flip flops, turtle shell
patterns, old souls and fresh perspectives and of course of families:)We love so many for different reasons... Nats has been our regular spot since we we were attending Doyle Elementary.

About the Artist or Work:
It is said that a painting should have a quiet place for the eye to
rest. My work has always been far from that. Pieces are alive with
color, pattern, liveliness and energy. The ideas come from outdoors,
other artists, Persian and Indian art, ethnic textiles, botany…
everywhere. The work is a combination of acrylic on watercolor paper and
added fabrics and papers. I thrive on all aspects of the creative
process from the original drawing to filling in the spaces with color.
What/who inspires you to create art?
Persian/Mughal art, flowers, many contemporary artists.

My passion encompasses landscapes that evoke a sense of tranquility or

About the Artist or Work:
The work done by Reclaimed is multi-faceted and spans different styles
of design. Our focus is to capture the antiquity, story and intricate
beauty of the found pieces that speak to us. These become our starting
point in creating our unique home decor items that range from lighting
to furniture to accessories. We strive to reuse and repurpose parts of
history and recreate their functionality, giving them a place in modern
society while cherishing their origin and history. We love the hunt for
information and can share with our clients all we have learned about
each specific item or items that make up the new inspired finished
product. We incorporate many different mediums from metal work to
traditional wood working techniques and find the perfect marriage
between them.
What/who inspires you to create art?
We are inspired by the subtleties that surround us; such as the
beautiful wood of an old tobacco barn, the patina on a milk pained wagon
wheel, the rusty lines of an intricate wrought iron gate and the worn
graphics of porcelain signs. There are so many beautiful things around
us that all have a story to tell. We are also inspired by people, by
their stories and their connection to the stuff of their past. Their
memories infuse our passion for design and our desire to continue to

About the Artist or Work:
I studied Fine Art, Graphic Design and Photography at Rochester
Institute of Technology. I started making Floorcloths 18 years ago for
family and custom orders. Loving the process of making Floorcloths I
decided to make them available to everyone and started participating in
Arts Festivals 5 years ago. Doylestown Arts Festival was my first and
still my favorite Arts Festival.
What/who inspires you to create art?
Design ideas for my Floorcloths come to me out of the blue, I always
have paper and a pencil near by to jot down or quick sketch my idea.
Also doing custom orders really gets my creative juices flowing.86 West - good drinks, small plates, and Sushi. Great outdoor dining.

About the Artist or Work:
Award winning photographer Michael W. Heayn was a photographer for the
Conshohocken Recorder, head photographer at the Valley Forge Freedom
Foundation, staff photographer at The Times Herald, photographic
instructor, A.D. Eisenhower School, Norristown. Also he has been a
Competition Judge. Michael has been a Professional Photographer for
over 41 years. 38 of those years he has been the owner of Michael W.
Heayn …photographer. Michael has done thousands of weddings and events,
family and individual portraits and commercial photography. A new
addition to his studio has been Fine Art Photography that has won him
various awards for his work. His most recent awards were the Award of
Excellence from the Ocean City, NJ Boardwalk Art Show, 1st Place for
professional photography in Cape May Art Festival 2 years in a row and
1st place, best photography by Professional from the Greater Norristown
Art League, also the Ray Fulmer photography excellence award two years
in a row 2013, 2014 from Arts Alive Quakertown, PA. In addition to his
above accomplishments, Michael was Mayor of Ambler, PA for 16 years,
also President and Building Chairman of the Mattie N. Dixon Community
Cupboard of Ambler.

All images are created, produced and printed by the Artist. Michael sells a variety of Fine Art images from cards to matted and framed prints in various sizes. About the Artist or Work:
I grew up in New England, but lived in New York and California prior to
settling in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with my family. My studio is
housed in a civil war era barn that we moved onto our property and
renovated. I love living and creating amongst such rich history.
Formerly, I worked as a film and video editor manipulating moving images and sound as a means to tell a narrative. Though I now create with found papers and vintage components, it's still about telling a story. I’m drawn to vintage graphics, packaging and images- they become the inspiration and focals for each of my finished pieces.

Scouring for vintage ephemera, broken findings and once-loved pieces
inspires me to create. Finding the hidden story within and presenting it
in a modern way through repurposing discarded or forgotten elements is
both motivating and satisfying. Jules! It is always consistently good- our whole family enjoys it. Love the gluten free options and unique veggie combinations.

CJ Segal-Isaacson is a jeweler with who specializes in sculptural silver
and wire work. As someone with a formal education in the natural
sciences, she draws much of her inspiration from natural forms,
especially plants and animals. She particularly likes clean modern lines
although occasionally enjoys creating ornate pieces as well.

About the Artist or Work:
The year 2009 was a decisive year for Andre and Karin. Our daughter, a
naturalized U.S. citizen, has lived in the United States for five years,
along with her husband and our two lovely granddaughters. The longing
to be with them was too much for us. So, we moved from Germany to the
U.S. that same year. While in the process of obtaining permanent
legal residency (which we obtained), we were attracted to the various
species of birds and the multitude of tree woods located in the
Pennsylvania area. Thanks to Andre's love for wood, we came up with
the idea of constructing birdhouses and began building them in our
children's garage. It was so much fun, and with the encouragement of
both family and friends, what began as a hobby, later became the basis
ob our present business,"Unique Birdhouses".
What/who inspires you to create art?
The characteristics of the various woods and the variety of bird species
enabled us to construct birdhouses of various shapes and designs. Each
birdhouse is handcrafted and unique in style and each piece is produced

Wild Hart Paper Co., founded by local illustrator and designer Christina
Hart, offers a wide range of paper goods from illustrated and hand
lettered stationery, to prints, custom invitations and stamps.
What/who inspires you to create art?
I don't know that I could pinpoint one thing. Nature (and all things
botanical) definitely, but also the clients I interact with on a daily
basis. Without them, I wouldn't be able to do this which is a great

Contemporary Whirligigs — Kinetic Wind Sculpture

Inspired by the wonders of the sea, each kinetic wind sculpture is handcrafted from American hardwood and exotics like ebony and cocobolo. With the turn of a finger or a gentle puff of wind, these kinetic sculptures transform the mechanical motion of the cam and camshaft into the organic movement of sea life. What/who inspires you to create art?
I've always been fascinated by the simple, whimsical motion of
whirligigs. I was inspired to bring a more contemporary and modern
aesthetic to this form of folk art. The idea of something mechanical—a
cam shaft— driven by something natural— the wind—were both interesting
to me . The many shapes of the cams provide myriad of opportunities to
translate rotational motion into kinetic art. Then, the fish themselves
form a natural weather-vane that completes the whirligig.

About the Artist or Work:
Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1978, Eli spent his childhood in the Boston area before moving to Washington, DC to study business and music at American University. In 2003 he moved to Tucson, Arizona where began experimenting with pencil sketches while working on various music projects. In 2006, he moved back to Boston and transformed his style of pencil sketching into large scale pen drawings using Micron pens on Canson drawing paper. Today he travels around the Northeast showing his work at art festivals. He can also be found at his gallery The Thread Arts Collective near his home in Easthampton, Massachusetts.
What/who inspires you to create art?
I am inspired by many different interests including nature, music, humor and various art forms from around the globe.

About the Artist or Work:
Artist Jessica Ann Russell is the creative force behind Mason J.A.R.
Apparel. A home-based business and dream inspired by her son, Mason and
her love for art and fashion. Hand block printed in Bethlehem PA. Mason
J.A.R. Apparel creates unique artwork on comfortable organic kid's
clothes. It's imagery and color palette are influenced by natures own
playful images and cultures across the four corners of the Earth.
What/who inspires you to create art?
In 2011 I started Mason J.A.R. Apparel. My own home based business. A
dream inspired by my son Mason and my love for fashion and art. When I'm
not chasing Mason I am working on developing new designs in my studio. Art
has played a huge role in developing me into the person I am today. I
learned block printing when I was just a child, from my father and
fellow artist. Over the years I have worked for a variety of print
studios, before and after college. I attended both the
Pennsylvania College of Art and Design and the School of Visual Arts
where I majored in textile design and children's book illustration.
After working for years doing visual merchandising I have returned to
what I love. Mason J.A.R. Apparel is dedicated to providing a
product that inspires and exposes our littlest of humans to art
responsibly. I hope you love our wearable art pieces as much as I love

About the Artist or Work:
Art is in my genes. I come from a long line of craftsmen, my daughter is also an artist, and we are both married to artists. I
trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts was a career
clinical scientist,and love my sense of smell. With Mamoucha handcrafted
soaps I marry color, form, fragrance, and use chemistry all at once to
produce a luxurious, useful object. I have a lot of fun in my studio. I
like to call what i do “The Fine Art of Clean”. All Mamoucha
ingredients are FDC (Food, Drugs, Cosmetics) approved. I use naturally
derived oils and butters, cruelty free fragrance oils, pigments, not
dyes, and colored micas. I like to use Shea Butter, Glycerin, and
Buttermilk in my soaps. I am very proud to say that the national
Handcrafted Soap, and Cosmetic Makers Guild used one of my soaps to
illustrate their new "Why Handcrafted Soap? pamphlet.
What/who inspires you to create art?
Since I adore color, my eyes are always searching every thing I see for
color combinations. The natural, online and print worlds are especially
and I believe that I will need to watch Les Craven's Grand Budapest
Hotel many, many times to cull all the fabulous color in that
masterwork. Since I am a geek, My Nebula Series of soaps are influenced
by NASA images of nebulas in space. Sweet Pea Homemade Ice Cream
