THOMPSON BUCKS COUNTY CLASSIC

Saturday, September 15

New Hope to Doylestown Road Race, 10:30am – 2:30pm
The New Hope to Doylestown Road Race is one of only eight UCI (internationally sanctioned) road races in the United States. One hundred fifty professional riders will participate in this inaugural Pennsylvania race. The beautiful Bucks County course, with its six grueling fourteen mile laps through Carversville, has been designed to give race fans an intimate and exciting view of endurance sport at its very best. It's a taste of the Tour de France in a spectacular setting, with the top North and South American racers fighting to win the final UCI race of the season.

“We’re extremely excited to have a race of international standing right here in the heart of Bucks County” said Jack Thompson, President of the Thompson Organization. He continues, “It’s a great sense of pride to know that we had a major part in keeping this race in Doylestown.”

The Thompson Organization Sponsorship

"The Thompson Organization is proud to once again sponsor the Doylestown Arts Festival. This is the 21st year of the Festival, and every year it continues to get better and better. Everyone seems to enjoy the event immensely. This year, the weekend will be enhanced with the inaugural Thompson Bucks County Classic international cycling event which ties into both days of the Arts Festival.  On Saturday, the New Hope to Doylestown road race will come to an exciting finish during the mid-afternoon peak of the Festival. And, on Sunday the ever popular Thompson Criterium of Doylestown encircles the Festival. Everyone gets the thrill of watching professional bikers compete. We're excited to be a part in bringing both events to Doylestown.
